Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work in partnership with physicians to provide clinical services to patients Patient intake, history taking, vital signs, etc.
Manage flow of clinic to optimize schedule and patient service Assist with examinations/procedures/treatments to include cast application and removal, suture removal, injections, etc.
Administer medications, as permitted by law and under physician supervision Prepare and provide referral information to patients Educate patients and provide guidance Enter necessary information into EHR system Prepare and maintain clean and organized clinic environment Ensure availability of supplies and proper operation of equipment in the examination and procedure rooms Triage and respond to patient and physician phone calls Coordinate appointments and procedures for patients Coordinate patient care information with other health care providers Gather and manage necessary documents (i.
e.
medical record, test results) Recognize and respond to urgent patient issues Monitor physician schedules and schedule patient appointments as needed Complete other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Physician and/or clinical Staff Manager Contribute to improved operations through sharing of ideas and positive cooperation Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (CME) preferred, not required Previous orthopedic experience a plus Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a changing scheduling environment and accommodate the needs of the practice There is some travel involved to other IBJI sites Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record information Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients and staff in all levels of the organization.
Able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time Capable of prioritizing and organizing information to achieve a smooth flow of tasks Ability to interpret and explain an extensive variety of instructions.
Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts and draw conclusions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
